Plavac Tomić is our bestselling wine and our strongest brand. For years, Plavac Tomić has been debunking the myth that the quality of Plavac wines must be accompanied by a high price. That is why it has become a synonym for value-for-money or good price-per-quality on the Croatian market. It is made from Plavac Mali, the most important Dalmatian red grape variety. The grapes for this wine come both from the southern side of Hvar Island (which is traditionally thought of as the best position for Plavac Mali), as well as from the vineyards on the northern side that give lighter wines, with refreshing fruit aromas. Typical varietal aromas of Plavac (sour cherry, plum, earth and Mediterranean herbs) are given a finishing touch through shorter aging in oak barrels, which gives the wine discrete notes of wood, coffee and spices.

Served at room temperature (18-20 °C), Plavac pairs well with a variety of meat dishes, tomato sauces, bruschettas, dried tomatoes...
