Ivan Katunar House of Wine continues the longstanding family tradition of wine production. Father and son, two Ivans, have achieved the quality that has been signed with the brand Ivan Katunar for a decade. They have joined the experience of generations with new achievements in winemaking. The first bottles from the 1989 vintage were the beginning of the commercialization of the family wine story. Ivan Katunar and his family continue this wine story in order to strengthen the importance of wine in everyday life and preserve land and knowledge for future generations. The vineyards are located in Vrbnik field and at the locality Krasina. These areas are especially suitable for grapevine growing and guarantee a high quality of grapes.
THE HOUSE OF WINE AND CELLAR – The oldest part of the house was built in 1963 and was expanded with the addition of two more floors in 1987. In 2007 a new cellar was built underneath the house, equipped with the latest technology. The house of wine was given a new visual identity in 2017, along with a new production and sale area and a new tasting room. Each generation with its own ideas and effort contributes to the development of this “wine story”. The process of wine production from the vineyard to the table takes place in the Ivan Katunar House of Wine.
