It was the ancient Greek writer Agatharchides who said it first: “The wine from Vis is better than all other wines!”
Vis is a small island, but great in wines. The grapevine and winemaking have been the foundation of the island’s economic development since antiquity.
Our winery is located in Dračevo field, known long ago for its red terra rossa soil, called “tarac” by the inhabitants of Vis.
Combined with the greatest number of sunshine hours in Croatia and the Mediterranean climate, our grapevines yield the best results.
We use only ecological techniques of production and we aim to keep our wine at its best, for ourselves and for future generations. Our vineyard is around 30 years old, but there have been vineyards in the same place for several hundred years. We are happy to continue the tradition and are proud to drink wine from Vis. We are a young winery founded on old foundations of traditional viticulture and winemaking of the island of Vis, and our aim is to show the soul of our island through the taste of wine.
