ATENTO PLAVAC MALI - Marlais

There is a well-known saying that "wine is made in the vineyard", but when it comes to the Plavac mali variety, you can truly feel it. The premium dry red wine Atento is made from hand-picked small berries of the Plavac mali variety from our vines aged between 15 and 35 years from the steep slopes of Pelješac near Ponikve. It matured for two full years in oak barrels, where it rounded out and gained additional freshness and liveliness. It was then aged in the bottle for another two years, so that it would be ready to offer you all its refined fruitiness and taste perfectly balanced with soft tannins.

This very pleasant dry red wine, layered, with developed aromas, differs from its older brother Škrapa wine only by the age of the vines and length of aging. However, this process gave a slightly different vivacity to the wine with aromas reminiscent of berries and dark cherries.

It is perfectly balanced between ripeness and freshness.
