Plavac Blato is a top-quality wine produced from the “plavac mali” grape variety, grown on terraces and slanting edges of fields. Due to the specific conditions of the central part of the island of Korčula, this plavac differs from other types of plavac of southern Dalmatia. The vine takes the last drops of moisture from the poor, cracked and sun-scorched soil in special microclimatic conditions and hydrates the already dry grapes from which Plavac Blato with 12.5 – 13.5 % of alcohol is produced. It is a wine of fiery, ruby red color and the characteristic aroma of the plavac variety from this region. We recommend drinking the top-quality Plavac
Blato wine surrounded by sea and stone and especially in the pleasant atmosphere of Blato 1902 Plc. fish restaurants.
