MALVAZIJA SAN SALVATORE - Benvenuti

At 400 metres above sea level, in the vineyards of the San Salvatore position (once the location of the village of Kaldir), we grow Malvasia for our wine which we have dubbed "the new era of Malvasia". Vineyards are planted on sandy soil and face south. Highly representative of its variety, this is the first Malvazija Istarska made from dried grapes. Very oily to the eye, this sweet wine is characterised by honey aromas and fruitiness, while its character is rounded by pronounced acidity, which provides for ageing potential. The San Salvatore 2013 was aged in oak barrels for 18 months.
