ABOUT THE VARIETY
The variety originates from the French wine region of Bordeaux, and today is spread throughout almost the entire wine-growing world. The wines of this variety are characterized by a deep dark red color with blue hues, and the typical aromas are reminiscent of black currants and plums and often have herbal notes. It gives wines with a lighter structure, very drinkable, moderate acidity and with less tannin compounds than the Cabernet sauvignon variety.
APPEARANCE
Deep, ripe red wine color.
AROMATIC PROFILE
Intense and pure aromas of maturation in the oak barrel burst out of the glass from the moment of pouring, and the full splendor of aromas is felt when the wine permeates after a few minutes. The most intense aromas are vanilla, prunes and chocolate.
FLAVOR
Soft, complex and harmonious. The high alcohol content does not come as a punch, but as a spice, the tannins are nicely ripened, and the slight astringency fits nicely into the harmony of flavors.
GENERAL IMPRESSION
Top-notch Merlot, who is now hard to find fault with, and has a successful future ahead of him. Tannins give a wonderful dimension to the structure of the taste and with the acid content they indicate the long life of this wine.
