MARAŠTINA - PZ Putniković

Maraština is a white wine variety, which in some parts of Dalmatia is also known as Rukatac. This variety is most represented on the Peljesac peninsula, most of the Dalmatian islands and in the area of Sibenik. These are grapes that are sweet when ripe and have a firmer outer skin. It can be used for the production of dry white wines in the classic way, but also prosecco and orange wines, which are obtained by maceration. Grapes for this wine are harvested in the vineyards around Putniković. It is a sweet grape with a firmer skin. The wine is light yellow to straw yellow in color, developed and rich in aroma, and the taste is harmonious, warm and full.
