Poljak Winery

Poljak wines respect the tradition of Dalmatia and of Dalmatian famous wines, but with an innovative approach and careful listening to the trends in winemaking. We observe every vintage with care and carefully adjust the production of every individual year.
Our small family winery is run by the founder and owner Trifun Poljak, who pours all his love into these wines. Having gathered knowledge on the international wine scene, he concluded that it was time to start his own winery with wines of superb quality.
The vineyards that give the grapes for our wines are situated in the best winegrowing region of northern Dalmatia – on the Benkovac-Stankovci winegrowing hills and on the highest positions of Bukovica. The vineyards are oriented toward the south and have long exposure to sunlight. The terroir is typically Dalmatian – karst with a rocky understructure of limestone. The specific microclimate yields fruitful results as this is the area where the Mediterranean and continental climates meet and mix.
Poljak wines are made out of love, desire and passion for wines. Although we are a young winery with only fifteen years of experience, our wines testify to our passion and commitment through their quality. The winery is located in Zadar, in its most beautiful part – on the very seacoast in Diklo. Our vineyards are situated in the Zadar hinterland, in the excellent winegrowing region of the Benkovac-Stankovci winegrowing hills.
