Out of the two previously mentioned cyclists, this is the stronger one and in better shape. It is not challenged even by the mountain leg of the race! With an exceptional hay-yellow colour, this full-bodied dry wine has the structure and a light touch of oak, but still has mineral tones as this is a conductive and recognisable characteristic of Iuris wines. Since this is a mid to strong-bodied wine, it pairs well with strong and spicy dishes (Indian and Chinese cuisine), as well as with good sausages, such as garlic-flavoured or Debrecener sausages, and just as well with hard cheeses made of cow’s, goat’s and even sheep’s milk.
Technological data: regular vintage with optimal grape yield, vinification under controlled conditions 15 – 18 °C in stainless steel tanks, a section of the Chardonnay macerated prior to being pressed for a period of 8 hours, then fermented in wooden barrels, separate fermentation, filled and coupaged prior to fermentation.
Colour
Straw yellow color with green reflections, crystal purity and clarity.
Aroma
Intense primary aroma of melon, followed by the floral and mineral note of Welschriesling.
Flavour
On the palate, delicate fruitiness of ripe green apples and pears perfectly balances the slight minerality with a smooth, low acides. Dry wine of medium-light body, harmonious, offers a special feeling of softness and freshness.
