Sivi pinot, sivi burgundac (Pinot Gris, Grauer Burgunder) are two names that appear at Croatian producers for this exceptional wine. The former is far more common, and we have decided to use the Italian name Pinot Grigio, as it is called in the province of Veneto, where the best Italian wines of this variety come from. The Italian name we have taken over suggests one of the two basic ways of vinification of Pinot Gris, the Italian one, of the lighter body in contrast to the fuller, stronger Alsatian. As it is known, now is considered that the concerned varieties are created by mutation of Pinot Noir which is best seen in the last stage of development when the berries takes on a greyish-reddish color. This volatility in the development has resulted in the fact that this white wine is not completely white, as part contains some characteristics typical of red wines. Thefore, it is extremely appreciated and sought to market. Our Pinot Grigio was obtained from the eponymous grape varieties harvested at the sites of the Danube basin, Ilok and Slavonska Požega.

Technological data: complete defoliation of the grapevine; harvest took place on two occasions, the earlier  first vintage, provided a fresh and elegant acids, and the other, later harvest, contributed to the roundness and elegance of the wine. Wine is mild in acid and solid in the extract. Other vintage fermented in wooden barrels of 500 liters and has nurtured six months on fine yeast. Subsequent wine blending obtained light, fruity wine that has character in taste and smell.
